Advisory bodies fighting the illegal wildlife trade

NGO Advisory Council

Made up of NGOs at the forefront of combatting the illegal wildlife trade, the NGO Advisory Council recommends new standards, changes to existing standards, recommended practises and Additional Recommended Practises for industry to go above and beyond the basic standards. This council establishes the biggest threats to species around the world on an ongoing basis, establishes how criminal networks are adapting and helps organisations to adapt. Council members include United for Wildlife, Traffic, Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), Environmental Investigation Agency International (EIA), Worldwide Fund for Nature-UK (WWF-UK), International Fund for Animal Welfare (iFAW), Panthera and Impact For Wildlife.
